As an interior designer and stylist of film sets and interiors, Kate Hume€™s creative eye knows no bounds. Beginning with her first collection of artisan glass in 1999, Kate set the trend for glass shaped into organic forms. The first collection of €˜unica€™ vases generated buzz with its jewel colors, which were sensual and tactile. Since it€™s inception Kate Hume Glass has been featured at the Contemporary Decorative Arts Show at Sotheby€™s, London.
Hume€™s mouth-blown pieces are created as collections, each group exploring a multiplicity of colors, textures, cutting techniques and surfaces.
