Hot Product: Whirlpool€™s Prêt-à-porter Clothes Revitalizer

Who needs a dry cleaner when you can do it yourself at the press of a button? Whirlpool has created the very clever Prêt-à-porter, a portable and easy to store dry cleaning appliance that de-wrinkles, de-odorizes and gently dries your clothes. Simply fill the water reservoir, put it in the machine and then push the start button. The Prêt-à-porter holds two articles of clothing per cycle, which lasts an average of thirty minutes. This process is an instant revitalizer for say, your favorite Alexander McQueen cashmere sweater when it€™s not necessarily dirty, but in need of a freshening after an evening of being exposed to clouds of cigar smoke at the Circle Bar.

Whirlpool has also formed a partnership with fashion designer Antonio Berardi to create the Prêt-à-porter Collection €“ a set of original Antonio Berardi designs inspired by the fabrics that work best in the clothes refresher, like delicates, cashmere, wool, and silk. The collection also includes a limited edition of the collapsible clothes revitalizers in a custom-made blue leather case which looks like a piece of luxury designer luggage. These fashionably functional pieces will be available in Autumn 2006.
