Washing the dishes is a dirty drag, for sure, so much so that many of us put the task off for as long as possible! In an attempt to add some magnificence to the mundane task of scrubbing and scouring, and add add a little beauty to daily life, Dutch designer Joana Ozorio de Almeida Meroz has created the Drain Eye-Catcher. Each one of these simple sink strainers has an aesthetically pleasing lace-like pattern of holes in their slightly concave , saucer-shaped surface, which allows water to slip through unfettered, but prevents food, hair and other debris from clogging your drain. The Drain Eye-Catcher is 7cm in circumference, and each one is handmade from hard, dishwasher-safe white plastic, in one of four perforated patterns, a few of which resemble the pretty petals of flowers.
