Finnish designer Eero Aarnio is one of the first modern furniture pioneers to use plastic and fiberglass materials, which allows designers to create most any shape and choose from a wider variety of colors. Eero Aarnio shook up the design world when he created the Ball Chair in 1963. A fiberglass semisphere with a cushioned center on top a rotating base. With its unconventional shape and nest like interior, the sound is muffled in the Ball Chair and you can be secluded even inside a crowded place.
