Hot In The Hive: Tracy Porter Marsh

The colorful floral designs of these hand-painted plates and bowls by Tracy Porter Marsh look fantastic on a rustic wooden table. We love the raised bamboo pattern on the lip of each piece and the careful placement of bloom and dragonfly - sometimes trailing down the ear of a cup, sometimes wound around the edge of a plate.

It's the kind of gorgeous, high-maintenance dinner set you take out for parties and parental visits: no dishwasher allowed!

That being said, we picture them looking perfect for summer dinner parties with good friends or those Sunday mornings when you can't seem to take less than an hour to make brunch.

Or do what we do: put out your best-looking china when you need to distract your family from not-so-successful recipe attempts.
