Hot In The Hive: Like Peas in A Pod

I'm so tired of standard pillar candles and tea lights. I almost feel like it's not worth the trouble of finding a match and watching for potential fire disasters if the source is just a boring old taper from the drugstore. Thank goodness for online stores like Found, where we found (ha ha ha) this pea pod candle.

This beautiful holder is detailed down to the pod's wrinkled sides and top stem scroll, making it an adorable centerpiece for your table. You can even order extra peas to put in it at just $6 for three! Good thing, too: I see myself using this wax wonder over and over.

Tip: when you have to chop onions, shallots or garlic, try lighting a candle or two (or even a burner on a gas stove) next to your work surface. The flame will burn the sulfides that the onion releases before the sulfides can hit the moisture in your eyes and make sulfuric acid (the reason why your eyes would ordinarily water).

And what better set of candles could there be for your kitchen than this one?
