Hip Tastes is the brainchild of Sommelier, Courtney Cochran. Hip Taste events are held in San Francisco€™s hottest night spots, offering hipster wine enthusiasts a chance to refine their palates. An upcoming event, €œHip Tastes: Old School€� takes place March 31st at Butter in San Francisco€™s SOMA district. The tasting event will pair your favorite childhood comfort foods including PB&J, Pigs in a Blanket, and Mac 'n Cheese with wines from St. Supery & Bonny Doon.
Who is the woman behind Hip Tastes, San Francisco€™s latest social sensation? Courtney grew up in California€™s Central Valley, attended UCLA and holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. During a semester abroad at the Sorbonne, Courtney found her passion for wine and now holds her sommelier certification from the International Sommelier Guild. She is also the founder of Your Personal Sommelier, a business based in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
