Stylehive was backstage at this year's Jingle Ball concert in New York City, hanging with the show's performers Avril Lavigne, Fall Out Boy, Alicia Keys, The Jonas Brothers, Jordin Sparks, and The Backstreet Boys, as well as celebs including Hayden Panettiere, Ashley Tisdale, and my future husband, Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford .
But more importantly, we witnessed firsthand the most important perks of being a celebrity: namely, free style and tech products!Among the list of lustworthy items included personalized leather handbags from H&M filled with a range of styles, each of which was carefully selected to match each star€™s personality, the latest Canon Powershot camera, the new Dooney & Bourke luggage carry-on and tote, a one year gym membership to the exclusive New York Health & Racquet Club, a selection of Tweety Fine Jewelry by D' Annunzio (created from the finest diamonds, gemstones and 18 karat gold, naturally), the latest and greatest products from Redken and much, MUCH more. But as always, despite the high-grade goods, it was the stars who stole the show. So without further adieu, we give you our Backstage Celebrity Swagmeister Awards! Most Gracious Celeb: Jordin Sparks. Every single vendor gushed over how sweet and appreciative the young star was. Most Entertaining: This one goes to the Backstreet Boys who were wreaking some playful havoc in the gift lounge, keeping everyone laughing and very entertained. Most Fashionably Late: Hayden Panettiere was the very last celeb to make her rounds, which set off a steady stream of compulsive watch-checking. But we€™ll forgive her, because she€™s just too cute to stay mad at!Biggest Upset: Alicia Keys was MIA most of the night, but don't write this R&B star off as a diva, we're told she's unbelievably sweet.Sweetest Moment: Seeing the Jonas Brothers a little starstruck and A LOT nervous upon being introduced to Hayden Panettiere. Best Observation: When asked about his favorite celeb scandal of 2007 gossip blogger Perez Hilton didn't hesitate in replying it would be "anything involving Britney Spears." But he wasn€™t knocking the fallen pop star (not in this instance, anyway) noting that at least she keeps it entertaining, and going on to say €œTake Lindsay Lohan. She came out of rehab and look at how boring she is now!€ Point well taken! Want more scoop? Here are some more of the hijinxs from my night out.Ashlee Simpson is in for a REAL treat this Christmas. Boyfriend Pete Wentz snagged a stunning 18K yellow and gold diamond Tweety necklace from Tweety Fine Jewelry: an adorable chick for his hot chick, how perfect! Also loving all that blings? Jordin Sparks, who was so stunned by the STUNNING 18k gold and diamond necklace from the D€™annunzio Corsage Collection she selected that she had to ask €œis this really around my neck?!€ Yes, and that's where it stayed throughout her powerhouse performance! Backstreet Boy Nick Carter got a little overheated over Foxers Boxers, an ingenious new breed of underwear that uses guy€™s boxer shorts as the banding, making unwanted butt crack peep shows a thing of the past. The boy bander, decked out in an In Touch Santa hat, was spotted playfully biting the tush of one of the mannequins (hmm, wonder if that€™s what he and Paris used to do for foreplay). Nick also snagged some maneuver wax, part of the new Redken for Men collection, which he used that night to keep his spiked blond locks in check during the performance. Also loving the Redken€™s hair care products for men? The three curly headed mop topped brothers, aka The Jonas Brothers, who caused a Beatles-like frenzy among the tweenie-boppers lucky enough to get backstage. The JBros. playfully fought over the new workforce styling products, resulting in a spritz fight (luckily, no hair was damaged in the act, phew!). Speaking of adorable offspring, Timbaland had the CUTEST accessory of all along with him for the night: his five year old son, Frankie. The hitmaker said the gift he was most excited about was the Dooney & Bourke tote bag, which he planned on using to carry his son's toys around in. Aww!!! And we can't talk about Dooney & Bourke, without mentioning their poster girl, Hayden Panettierewho was the poster child for self-promotion in the gift lounge, toting her own design for the brand, The Hayden Bag, and being photographed in front of a huge Hayden picture. That€™s a LOT of Hayden....The bag was also a hit with High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, who made a Paris Hilton-like entrance by walking around with a tiny pooch under her arm. That arm must have been getting tired, because the star was also spotted trying the tote out as a pet carrier! The latest Bratz Doll collection was also a huge hit- several of the artists, including Jordin Sparks, warmed up their vocals with the microphones that come attached to the new Bratz Neon Pop Diva dolls! Speaking of Jordin, could her hit song Tattoo, be a sign of things to come? The star, who blew out the candles on stage in anticipation for her 18th birthday coming up on the 22nd, told world renowned celebrity tattoo artist Mario Barth , that she€™s seriously considering getting herself inked, and might just take him up on the gift certificate she received for a free tattoo. However, the Jonas brothers are gonna have to stow their certificates away for the time being, because mom said they would have to wait at least five years! Moms can be such a drag! In addition to free tats, all the celebs will get free rooms if they head over to Vegas for the opening of Mario€™s newest store, which is where you can find One Republic come February 16th. But pint sized, pink haired, ink-enthusiast, Avril Lavigne was the only artist selected to join the likes of Tommy Lee, Snoop Dogg, and Lil€™ Kim to receive Mario's diamond encrusted Elite VIP Card (there are only 25 in existence and they can€™t be bought by ANYONE). What€™s so special about it? Well whenever Avril gets a craving for a new tattoo, a private jet will be at her disposal to fly her out to Mario€™s Vegas tattoo shop.Still want more dirt?
