LA Fashion Week continues to gain momentum in 2007, showcasing the best that the West has to offer. But one designer, Kevan Hall, has stood out for his clean lines, gorgeous prints, and red carpet-worthy gowns.
Kevan Hall took us on an African Safari this season, looking to his roots, which he described as everything from €œDinka, Maasai, and Zulu tribes to the antelopes and zebras€�. He presented Serengeti prints and intricate beading designed by African artisans, and even incorporated mud cloth and painted twill. This Hollywood fashion favorite is known for his eveningwear, and this season was no exception. His perfectly draped chiffon gowns billowed down the runway in shades of orange, brown, and turquoise. Kevan's show also had the highest celebrity turnout so far at LA fashion week, due to the fact that he is the king of cut: actress Nia Long said Kevan Hall is her favorite designer because he creates pieces that are sexy and modern, that "fit like a glove and fit right in all of the right places."Photos: Mercedes-Benz Fashion WeekSee the SLIDESHOW
