Stylehive: What are some of your favorite summer trends?Tim Gunn: I love summer in general because people can be more relaxed and feel appropriate, as opposed being more relaxed and feeling inappropriate, it's just a time to loosen up. For men I'm in favor of suits with an open shirt, for women I think it's a great time to wear flat shoes and not feel like "oh I'm not dressed up enough." Sure you are! The only thing I will caution everyone against is keep that bare midriff covered, I don't understand, I mean unless you're at the beach, I don't get it!
Stylehive: Is there one thing from your closet that you refuse to throw away?
Tim Gunn: Probably too many things that I refuse to throw away! I have a jean jacket that I don't wear anymore that I probably should just give to the Salvation Army or to some cause, because it's in perfectly good shape, but I keep thinking I'm gonna wear it sometime, so I don't know. I wore jeans yesterday - the Project Runway designers almost went crazy, really!
