It seems like only yesterday we were lamenting over the finale of another fierce season of Project Runway which is why I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that a whole new season with a fresh crop of designing hopefuls begins this Wednesday! I got the chance to chat with mentor extraordinaire Tim Gunn at the Peabody Awards- a prestigious ceremony honoring excellence in news and entertainment broadcasting. Read on for Part 1 of my interview to see what he had to say about receiving a coveted Peabody and what we can expect this coming season.
Stylehive: What does it mean to you to get a Peabody?Tim Gunn: You know, I really don't have the adequate words to talk about it because it's just so surreal to me. I have such respect for the Peabody awards and I know who wins them, so for Project Runway to be in this company is staggering.Stylehive: What can you tell us about the next season of Project Runway?Tim Gunn: Well, a whole new group of designers, entirely different DNA between them, among them. I'm really just getting to know them, we just began last week, and I'm already smitten. I've become very attached to them.
