The crazy challenges, the fashion, the immense creativity, the A-list guest judges- there are countless reasons as to why the show Project Runway is such a phenomenon. However, there's no denying that the real heart and soul of the show lies with the one and only Heidi Klum, whose infectious effervescence and absolute adorableness will never get old! I got the chance to chat with the the gorgeous supermodel in the flesh at the Peabody Awards, where she, like Runway mentor Tim Gunn, was understandably shocked and humbled that her little show about fashion was the recipient of this prestigious award. Read on for part 1 of my interview with Heidi for her reaction and why this award means so much to her.
Stylehive: What does this award mean to you?Heidi Klum: It means a lot to us, winning this award is very serious, most people that have gotten it in the past are doing things about the economy, about the war, and like really, really hardcore things, and we're about fashion, so I love that! But it is serious to us, because we are in the fashion industry and these people are real people and that is their real passion, but it's nice when someone like the Peabody awards gives us this honor, it's great for us.
