Hipster PDAs: What Are They and How Do I Make One?

If you think technology has completely taken over our lives, or if you simply want a unique, personal way to organize your life, then a Hipster PDA (hPDA) may be just the thing for you. Having many rabid followers around the world, the Hipster PDA was first popularized by a San Francisco writer who grew tired of carrying his Palm Pilot around and started looking for a better way to organize his information. At it€™s most basic, it is a stack of index cards held together with a binder clip and used to take notes, keep contact information, store reminders, and basically anything you can think of. Why would anyone want to do that when PDA cell phones are now the norm? Well, you don€™t have to take out a loan to make one, it€™s doesn€™t feel like you have a brick in your pocket, it doesn€™t use batteries, and it€™s totally customizable and unique only to you! If this sounds like your type of thing, here€™s how to make one:

1. Get some 3"x5" index cards
2. Use a binder clip to clip them together
3. That's it!

As you can see, there really isn't a right or wrong way to do it, do whatever works best for you. Some people like to use business cards, and others like to keep their information in a small pocket notebook, such as a Moleskine. Whatever your taste, there is a huge community of serious Hipster PDA users that share tips, templates, and plans all over the Internet!
