NYFW Fun: Getting Dressed Right For the First Day of Fashion Week

After last season€™s fashion week (my first EVER), I was racked with regret and humiliation over some of my ensemble choices that simple screamed AMATEUR. For the second time around, I vowed to get it RIGHT. The first show I€™d be covering was the Heart Truth€™s Red Dress Collection. I was super excited (it was a celeb magnet - will post on that later) but this posed quite the dilemma.

The invite said everyone should wear red, but do people really follow that? Talk about double edged sword! If I wear red, I might look like a clueless amateur- so NOT how I wanted to start things off this time around. But if I don€™t wear red, I might look like a diva who thinks she€™s too cool.

Oh whatever, I chose diva over lost soul. For day one I went for a black shift dress by Milly with black opaque tights and black booties (I brought flat suede boots with me, just in case the booties made my look too €˜night-time€™). Turns out I made the right choice - some people wore red, but most didn€™t - phew!

Plus, I€™ve been getting compliments left and right! Cheers to a successful Day One!
