High-School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is becoming quite the red carpet fixture and no matter what the event, her makeup is always just enough without being too much, playing up her natural beauty and sex appeal in an age-appropriate manner. Case in point- the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party, where Vanessa looked natural and fresh-faced with the perfect amount of smoldering sex appeal. Since most of us can't afford a beauty team of our very own, I'm going to bring you the next best thing- a step by step guide on how to re-create this look straight from the man behind it- makeup artist and Vanitymark Cosmetics founder, Brett Freedman. Read on to see how he created this stunning look and give it a try for your next big night out!
Face: Vanessa was still bronzed from touring in Mexico, so we wanted to play up her glow with makeup and hair that would suit her luminous skin. To even her skin tone, I blended Neutrogena's Visibly Even Liquid Makeup in True Beige, $10.99, and set it with Stila Sun in Shade 2, $28. Cheeks: To warm up her cheeks, I lightly blended Rosie Jane's Cheek Gloss in Peony, $24, and swept Benefit's 10, $28, all over as a highlighter.Eyes: To give Vanessa a pale, matte eye, I swept MAC's Spiced Chocolate Eye Shadow x 4, $72, all over her lid, before lining her lashes with Kat Von D's Autograph Eyeliner in Love Metal, $16, and coated her lashes 4 times with Vanitymark's the LASH Mascara, $16.Brows: I cleaned up her brows with Vanitymark's Ultra-Brow Dual Sided Tweezer, $18, then added a bit of drama and definition with Vanitymark's Ultra-Prow Powder in Milk Choco, $16. Lips and Body: I brushed on Benefit's Her Glossiness in Who Are You Wearing, $18, before misting Vanessa with Vanitymark's SHIMMERSKIN Body Glisten, $14, on her arms, chest and back to really amp up her natural glow.
