At the 13th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala the always striking Charlize Theron was a true vision in black. The bombshell paired a sleek leather skirt with a strapless top from The Row, creating a sexy yet sophisticated silhouette. She injected touches of color into the look with a Bottega Veneta clutch, a pair of diamond-accented pumps and a turquoise ring. By taking a minimal approach to the accessories, Charlize kept the look polished and chic and allowed her natural beauty to really shine. A leather pencil skirt is definitely a must-have this season and is super versatile. Wear it with a sexy top like Charlize or tone it down by teaming it with a billowy blouse or a sharp blazer. For the Fashion Group International's Night of Stars in New York City, rocker Gwen Stefani was her usual fashionable and fabulous self but took went for a more subdued, sophisticated style. Gwen wore a halter LBD and added some shape to the look by cinching the waist with a black belt. She finished the look with black patent pumps, a black LAMB clutch, and a dazzling Lorraine Schwartz bracelet.This look was polished, chic, and sexy but in a subtle way. And unlike most of Gwen's ensembles, it's totally wearable and can work beautifully on anyone, no matter what your age or size.

At the launch party for the Anna Sui for Target collection, Gossip Girl Blake Lively was her usual on-trend self. At the L.A. premiere of Whip It, actress Ellen Page looked chic, timeless, and simultaneously cutting-edge. Ellen rocked a long-sleeve Alexander Wang LBD (long sleeve mini-dresses are all the rage this season). She took this basic staple to the next level with a funky pair of Rachel Comey booties, an embellished Jimmy Choo clutch, and layered David Yurman chain necklaces. This look was totally on-point and is fashion-forward but still totally wearable. I love how Ellen toughened up a classic closet staple but still kept the look feminine and sexy. Kristen went for one of this season's must-have pieces, the black jumpsuit, opting for a plunging style from Topshop. She enlivened the look with some standout accessories including a colorful Vera Wang rhinestone necklace, gold and diamond necklaces from Jennifer Meyer jewelry, metallic strappy sandals from Jimmy Choo, and a lime green Bally frame clutch. At the Melrose Place launch party in L.A., 90210 star Jessica Stroup was definitely one of the night's standouts. Jessica wore a gorgeous electric blue cowl-neck minidress from Jenni Kayne topped off with an embellished black belt. Given the high-octane color of the dress, Jessica refrained from adding more color to the mix, opting for a sleek black Sergio Rossi clutch and a killer pair of cutout pumps. Keeping it simple with regards to accessories, she cut it off at one gorgeous cocktail ring from Siera. A slightly slouchy minidress like this one is extremely versatile- wear it as a tunic and layer it over leggings or skinny jeans for a daytime look, or pair with opaque tights, pumps, and a sharp blazer for a sophisticated day-to-night style. At the L.A. premiere of her new film Extract, Mila Kunis looked absolutely stunning. Complementing the feminine and flirty Matthew Williamson dress she wore was her soft, slightly undone yet totally glamorous hairstyle. The look was created by TRESemme celebrity stylist Mara Roszak and the best part is she did it for under $15! Read on for the simple steps she used to create Mila's show-stopping 'do.

1. Apply TRESemme 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse, $5.49, on damp hair from roots to ends. Rough dry hair until it is completely dry, parting hair slightly more to one side.
2. Use a 1" curling iron all over the head, rotating the direction of the waves. Spray each section with TRESemme Frizz Shield Finishing Spray, $4.54 and tousle waves with fingers.
3. Pull hair into a low pony towards the opposite side of the part, securing with an elastic. Twist into a loose bun, and secure with criss-crossed bobby pins.
4. Leave soft pieces around the face and around the bun, keeping one side cleaner with fewer loose pieces. Finish by misting TRESemme TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray, $4.75 for a long lasting look.

She gave the look a sexy kick with red Brian Atwood pumps and an edgy black cuff by Cathy Waterman and rounded out the mix with a dainty pair of earrings. Stripes are super hot right now and can work for anyone, no matter your style. When wearing graphic prints, it's usually best to keep everything else relatively simple to avoid sensory overload.
