Banana Republic's latest campaign is certainly something to sing about. The city-chic retailer has just released an exclusive digital album featuring never-before-heard tracks from nine artists featured in their "City Stories" campaign, including Sara Bareilles, OK Go, Liz Phair, Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba, and more. Titled City Sounds, the album explores the a diverse range of styles from acoustic soul to modern jazz, and together presents a decidedly urban feel. The album is available as a gift with purchase in Banana Republic stores, and includes five 40% off coupons to be used on future visits!
This week, we're giving away a $100 Banana Republic gift card to one lucky winner. Read on to find out how it can be yours! To promote the campaign, Banana Republic had the featured artists talk about their style. Read through them and then tell us in comments...Which artist do you think best represents you and your style, and why?My style is eclectic but always comfortable. Like my cultural heritage, I draw from very many clothing styles. I can mix designer (big and small) tops and or shoes with a nice pair of slim jeans or leggings or wear a designer dress with simple flats and almost no jewelry. -AyoI'm the girl that loves to be comfortable first and foremost. I find that my confidence can stem from feeling comfortable and I feel most beautiful when I feel confident. I love mixing the feminine with something a little tom-boyish and being playful with style. -Sara BareillesBo-ho surfer chic! -David GarrettStyle is something pretty personal. So much about style depends on your environment and how you're feeling. What do you wear to work? What do you wear to the bar? If you're in a band, what do you wear on stage? As for me though, I generally like to layer and mix formal (vintage and new) with a hint of casual (vintage and new) for a style I suppose I could refer to as "formasual." -OK GoI would describe my personal style as simple, form fitting and bold. I like to take risks and get attention, but I don't like garments to be complicated and overwrought with embellishments. -Liz PhairI don't. It changes a lot. I leave it to others to describe. -David SanchezOregon Urban Vintage? I buy a lot of second hand stuff. I like to look like a really hip sexy grandma that has an afro and knows nothing about makeup, yet could go hiking at the drop of a dime. In other words, no really cohesive style that I can identify for myself. -Esperanza SpaldingWe'll pick a winner on Wednesday, June 3rd. Best answer wins. Good luck!Sorry, giveaway open to U.S. and Canada residents only.

I can relate to OK Go's "formasual" outlook on style! My fashion style is structured, formal, and minimalist. I usually am a little overdressed for any occasion and overpacked for any vacation.

I relate most to Sara Barielles because comfort is the most important factor in my style. I can't count the amount of times that I have tried to wear something that was just simply uncomfortable. I may have looked cute, but I felt miserable. Those are the clothes that I never gave a second chance. It is so nice to actually find clothing that makes us feel comfortable, cute, and confident all at the same time, though. This is what I like about Banana Republic's clothing. The styles are unique and cute, but still make us feel comfortable and free!

I feel very close to Liz Phair's fashion statement- I consciously choose clothes that tend to stand out in the crowd, whether it is by nice fit, bright colors or unique accessories. But I also agree with Liz that I dont like "overdecorated" outfits or too many accessories. I love Banana Republic style because it reflects Liz Phair's fashions statement and my style methodology: simple yet chic and sophisticated. BR stores attract me for several reasons- stylish clothes and accessories, variety of sizes and store layout. My perfect summer outfits from BR would be a wrap dress in bright color, like fucshia, beautiful oversize handbag and shoes in nude colors, and an unexpected accessory like a stunning turquoise necklace I have had my eye on for a long time.... Here is my Polyvore set so you can check my perfect summer BR outfit for yourself :) And yes, I would totally spend my giftcard on that necklace- too gorgeous! http://www.polyvore.com/banana_republic/set?id=9133671

I can identify most with Sara Bareilles style. I feel my best when I am comfortable with what I am wearing. If I overthink my look, I tend to feel uncomfortable with it. When I keep it simple yet cute, I dont even think about how I look.

Rihanna!!! There is nothing that girl won't try! Her edgy style and fearless approach to fashion make her my style icon. I always go to her for inspiration for my own look, although, of course, I tone it all down significantly.

My style is definitely a mix between Ayo and Sara Bareilles. Like Ayo, my personal style stems from many classic and current fashion trends, but I always try to keep things clean and simple: mixing a fancier top with simple jeans or focusing my outfit around a special accessory. Like Sara Bareilles, no matter what I wear, I make sure I like the way I look and am comfortable in my clothes. Confidence in yourself and your appearance are what define your personal style.

Id say my style is most like Sara Bareilles - I love to be cute & comfortable! I can't be confident in what I'm wearing if I don't feel great in it.

I'm definitely most like Liz Phair although I do like accessories (just not too many of them at the same time). Bold looks with impeccable fit convey confidence and look fantastic on.

Ayo definitely best represents my style. Like Ayo, I consider my style to be eclectic, and I love to mix high end designer clothes with vintage and cheaper finds from Target and H&M. Also, I can go from wearing jeans and a tee one day to a fancy dress the next - I'm very random with how I dress, I just wear what I feel like when I wake up!

I love David Sanchez's brutally honest quote. He doesn't attempt to sugar coat his response or give us what we want to hear. Like Sanchez, I would say my style changes a lot... from day to day, hour to hour. Even while wearing the same outfit my style will change based on my mood, my facial expression, my body language. We know what we like when we see it, but we don't necessarily need to define the style or the look that goes along with it. Thats what I love so much about Stylehive, it's a site full of fun, innovative and great looking items that speak for themselves. It's great to see Banana Republic is working with artists on this campaign. Fashion, art and music have always gone hand in hand and I love seeing companies like Banana Republic acknowledging the wonderful, inseparable bond that music and fashion share!

I most identify with Sara Bareilles and her mix of feminine and tomboy. I usually rock a skirt & feminine shoes, but mix that with a fitted concert t-shirt. And comfortableness is always important!

I relate closely with Sara Bareilles style. I enjoy throwing on Converse with a feminine dress because I love the juxtaposition of a simple casual shoe with a girly elaborate top or dress. I think it makes my style more interesting, and I get to be comfortable! I've never been the girl to put on an uncomfortable shoe, even if I love the way it looks. I don't want to worry about pain. I want to hold my head up high and know that, if anything goes wrong in my day, at least I love and am comfortable in what I'm wearing. That's why I love Banana Republic. They sell so many great tops and dresses I wish I could I have.

Style IS personal and I most closely relate to the attitudes and style of OK Go. Much like OK Go, my style is as ever-changing as the newest color of Louboutin heels. Mostly, I am a little bit preppy, kind of trendy, a whole lot chic, almost always classic and tailored, sometimes urban, often relaxed, and always STYLISH! And as for being “formasual,” there “ain’t nutin’” like a brand new Chanel bag, a long layered pearl necklace by Lanvin, and your favorite pair of old jeans--TIMELESS!

Im going with Liz phair, I like to get noticed but in a good way; not way out there. I live in a small town Martinsville Virginia and have had a lot of people call me hollywood. Any time I step out of the house to go anywhere, I dress very nice and I like everything to be coordinated. I have to have the right shoes with the right jeans that go with the top and jacket. Then if Im wearing a dress its the same thing, the right shoes, right type of jacket or coat and matching handbag. Then I also love my scarves and hats! Same applies for my summer wardrobe with shorts and sandals and the right top including the material its made of!
