Daily Obsesh - lemlem Scarves

With fall quickly approaching we've got one thing on our minds: how desperately we still need a tan layers, layers, layers. Piling on piece after piece can be a true fashionista-science made much easier with really great scarves.

Queue Lemlem.

Liya Kebede, supermodel/actress/goodwill ambassador/basically a perfect human discovered that traditional weavers in her native country of Ethiopia were losing their jobs due to a decline in local demand for their goods and wanted to do something about it. Recognizing the beauty, quality and historic significance of their work, Liya started Lemlem in 2007 as a way to inspire economic independence in her native country and to preserve the art of weaving. The results are absolutely beautiful handwoven scarves that while wearing make you feel just as good inside as they do out.
