City Style: Acrimony Offers A True Bite Of San Francisco Style

Acrimony: a harsh or biting sharpness especially of words, manner, or disposition. Also the name of the newest and edgiest boutique to hit San Francisco in ages. And for a city whose eclectic style is so misrepresented by Union Square's mundane offerings, it's quite the welcome addition.

But Acrimony? That's not your typical boutique name by any means, an indication to shoppers that the expected is not what's in store. "I wanted to bring something new, fresh, different to SF-- there are people dying for it here," Acrimony's owner Jenny Chung told me. And one look around the space, from the imported Nekoshogun art on the walls to the custom-made pipe racks showcasing label after label I had never heard of made it all the more clear that Acrimony is not afraid to be a bit shocking-- shoppers want to be surprised by fashion, influenced by fashion, and the store combats that 'seen it all before' notion with a mixture of edge and grace.

With new lines in the works for fall and a collection of international labels that SF shoppers could previously only dream of, it's clear that Acrimony isn't going to let its "new kid on the block" status define it for long. Click SEE SLIDESHOW for a closer look at Acrimony!
