Leighton Meester Wears Gold And Diamond Bat Necklace By Brazilian Designer Jack Vartanian

This wouldn't be the first time we've done a "Leighton Meester Wears.." post here on Stylehive, and so it's safe to say she's staying stylish enough for herself and alter ego Blair between seasons (speaking of which, is it September 14th yet?). The actress was spotted strolling in NYC wearing the "Bat Necklace" from Brazilian designer Jack Vartanian. Crafted from 18k rose gold and complete with tiny diamond eyes, it's stunning and a bit spooky all at once. You can find the necklace along with the entire Jack Vartanian STUD collection at Barneys New York. In case you're wondering, Leighton's also wearing Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony wedge boots and Nina Ricci's "Ondine" handbag. Tell us what you think of her look in comments!

New York Fashion Week Street Style: Day 8, And Not Slowing Down Yet!

It's the final day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, but don't think for a second that people will be showing up any less stylishly than they did on Day 1! I'm pretty sure I saw more fashion risks taken as the days went on, perhaps a result of fresh new inspiration. Whatever the reason, as things wind down and people go back to their normal routines, the style on the streets is sure to be anything but normal. After all, it's always fashion week somewhere! Check out the slideshow and stay tuned as we cover the remaining shows!

New York Fashion Week Style Steal: Little Black Dress, Big Style Statement

Gone are the days of the little black dress being a foolproof outfit and nothing more-- these days it's all about reinventing the classic with edgy accessories and using it as a canvas to create look after stunning look. This impeccably stylish Peter Som show-goer hit all the right notes: tousled hair, layered necklaces, a bold cuff, open toe shoe boots, and of course, a black dress with equal parts structure and softness. You'd be hard-pressed to find anything wrong with this outfit, and I'm pretty that if there was a best-dressed list for non-celebrity fashion week folk, she'd surely come out on top. New York Fashion Week Style Steal: I'll Wear What He's Wearing

Boys, take note: the graphic tee, blazer, and jeans combo never, and I mean never, fails. Change up the color scheme and throw on some quirky accessories (mint wayfarers, tennis shoes) and you'll be set for anything- and anyone- who comes your way. The colorful jacket is a bit daring, but he wears it so well, and as for the casually half-buttoned, sleeves rolled up style, well, it's just so effortless. I can show you where to find pretty much everything he's wearing, but style like his just can't be bought. Click the slideshow to try and get the look!

New York Fashion Week Street Style: Just Hanging Out Before Peter Som...

It's a super sunny Day 4 here at the tents, and what better to do between shows than snap pics of mere mortals sporting the season's coolest looks? Well, I suppose you could prance around and take advantage of all the free swag, or enjoy the gorgeous weather, or I don't know, check your email, but this is work, people, and somebody's got to do it! Expect to see all sorts of quirky hairpieces, painfully gorgeous shoes, and bold splashes of color. Oh, and on another note, if you're still looking for a pair of YSL 'Tribute' heels, you'll find about 5,000 in Bryant Park alone. You heard it from me. Check out the slideshow and see today's style snapshots, straight from the source at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

New York Fashion Week Style Steal: Mix It Up With Some Bright Lacoste Accents

This pair was easily the most enthusiastic that I encountered while searching the tents for potential street style subjects. I'll admit the fuchsia Lacoste sweater was what initially grabbed my attention, but honestly the two of them were hard to miss! With his suede mocs, perfect aviator-style shades, and expert layering skills, and her billowy top and high-waisted shorts combo, I knew I was in for a challenge! Click the slideshow to get their retro-glam 80s-inspired look.

New York Fashion Week Street Style: Fashionistas Laugh at Rain, Humidity, Heat.

You've got to hand it to New Yorkers for pulling out all the stops outfit-wise when (a) the humidity is waging war on hair and makeup everywhere and (b) the remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna are fast approaching. Forget throw-on-and-go dresses - we're talking layers upon layers, graphic tees tucked into skirts, socks with heels, neon shades, and a particularly insane pair of Chloe shoe boots. OK enough talk. See it all in my slideshow of looks from THIS MORNING, and keep checking back for more style from the tents at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week!

New York Fashion Week Style Steal: Edgy Is Easy for Jonathan and Allie

Standing on the steps of Bryant Park and watching passerby is often a fashion show in its own right - check out Jonathan and Allie, who I met as they were leaving the Rubin Singer show. I was immediately enamored with Jonathan's 3.1 Phillip Lim shirt- casual cool at its finest, with stripes! Vintage wooden Ray-Bans and tan leather shoes were classic but edgy finishing touches. Allie's brushstroke-print Julie Brown dress made a vibrant statement amidst a sea of black-clad fashion week attendees, and the belt added shape to the otherwise roomy frock. Click on the slideshow to get their look, and check back every day for more style on the streets from New York Fashion Week!
