Gotta Getaway To Beijing At The Raffles Beijing Hotel

When I think of China, I think of silk brocade, dragon motifs, a rich history and delicious food. So naturally, when I heard of the Raffles Beijing Hotel, I was more than intrigued. Much like the country itself, the hotel has a long history in Beijing. It was first opened in 1917 at the Grand Hotel de Pekin and then taken over by the Raffles chain and fully renovated in 2006. The Beaux Arts-style building has 147 rooms and 24 suites with everything you could ask for. Just minutes away from the famed Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, the hotel's central location is well worth the price. With a blend of Asian and French influences, the hotel is an oasis after a long day of sightseeing. Find some time to dine at Jaan their signature restaurant serving French cuisine or relax at the Writers' Bar with a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. Gotta Getaway to Cannes' 1835 White Palm Hotel!

Cannes was just a fishing port -- way, way back in the day. In 1835, it became an elite port destination to a city born of wealthy intellectuals. Now, it is most recognized for its annual film festival. It is still the getaway hot-spot. Cannes is fashion, culture, history, art and beauty -- not to mention clubs, casinos and an adult party paradise. The 1835 White Palm Hotel has kept the affluent coming to this popular port with it's world class style and excellent service to accommodate the international tourist. Located in Cannes' historic district, every view captures the majesty of the city's marina, beaches and boutiques. The lobby's decor is based on a modern classicism that could be described as a contemporary Art Deco. The spacious and sleek rooms are equipped with the latest technology. The terrace welcomes you to explore the seascape, landscape and cityscape of Cannes rooftop style. The biggest perk, however, is not the fine dining within the 360 degree window-paneled restaurant atop the hotel (appropriately named 360), but its spa complete with thermal baths -- the reason for which this hotel is one of best luxury resorts. Feel like a 21st-Century aristocrat and take a virtual trip to Cannes' 1835 White Palms Hotel in this slideshow!

Gotta Getaway To Buenos Aires To The Bobo Hotel

As the World Cup (the Olympics of soccer) is fast approaching in South Africa this summer, I'm eagerly awaiting how my favorite teams will fare. Part of my top five is Argentina and I can only imagine how Argentines will celebrate on the streets after every winning game. That thought quickly turned into a search for cool hotels in Buenos Aires just in case I want to see the celebrations for myself. The Bobo Hotel is described as the first boutique hotel in Buenos Aires right in the hip Palermo Soho neighborhood. The 1920s European style mansion houses seven unique themed rooms and also surprisingly affordable! Choose from the Art Deco, minimalist, or the piece de resistence Argentina suite which occupies the top floor with a whirlpool tub, skylights and a balcony with a million dollar view. Dine at the restaurant which has a rotating art exhibit and serves a gourmet fusion of Argentine, French and Asian influences. Best of all, the small number of rooms means the attentive staff makes every guests' stay feel special.

Travel Smart With A Duffel Bag

Aside from the copious amounts of vintage dresses, high heels and makeup I constantly whip out my credit card to purchase, I'm also an avid buyer of plane tickets. I love to travel whether it's a quick weekend trip to Los Angeles or a month in Europe. While I love to travel, I hate flying and I'm also super paranoid about checking in my luggage unless it's absolutely necessary. So I've perfected the art of packing into a duffel bag. Before you think of smelly gym socks, duffel bags have come a long way since high school. Designers from Marc Jacobs to Rebecca Minkoff have their own version of a chic duffel bag. Check out the super luxe Andie Duffel Bag by Alexander Wang which I definitely don't see anyone toting this to the gym! Another favorite pick of mine is the Sea Bags Large Duffle 5 Bag found at ASOS. Each bag is unique and made of old sails. Take a look at my slideshow to see more duffel bags fit for all your travels.

Gotta Getaway To Louisville At The 21c Museum Hotel

Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, Kentucky is a renovated 19-century tobacco and bourbon warehouse transformed into a thoroughly modern boutique hotel and museum. The 91 room 21c Museum Hotel features large rooms with Malin + Goetz toiletries, preprogrammed iPods and speaker docks, poster art you can take home, and most importantly, free wifi. Dine at Proof on Main for an Italian and American South inspired cuisine and try some (not all!) of the 50 Kentucky bourbons available at the bar. You can also relax in the in-house spa with a sauna, steam room, and gym. Why is it called 21c, you ask? Well, it's North America's first museum solely dedicated collecting and exhibiting 21st century art. The museum is free to the public so you can wander in and look at the 4 foot red penguins, video installations, sculptures, and more. Take a look at my slideshow to see more of 21c!

Hotel Arts Barcelona Is A Modernism-Museum Getaway With A View!

Barcelona, Spain, is rich in culture, from its unique Gaudi architecture to its traditional Sardana dancing. Spanish life is a spectacle to behold as it is, but as the region of Catalan is oozing with a modern Spanish flavor all its own, it's only fitting that the flashy Hotel Arts Barcelona is the place to stay to take it all in. Tied with Barcelona's Mapfre Tower, the Hotel Arts Barcelona is the city's tallest building, and while situated alongside both the beach and party-goers attraction, Port Olimpic, it offers some of Barcelona's most prized views -- and not just of the outside! Within the over-forty-story tower are 1,000 original works art to get the right side of brain in gear for enjoying the rest of Barcelona's incredible picturesque showcase. The extraordinary architecture accompanied by an amazing gigantic fish sculpture outside (not to mention that it's a Ritz Carlton ) are enough to entice you into staying there. It was the perfect home-base for Vicky Cristina Barcelona stars Scarlett Johannson, Penelope Cruz and Woody Allen. The stars, however, most likely enjoyed the private, personal concierge experience that the Hotel Arts devotes to its upper floors, which they call "The Club"; an area which doesn't include their exclusive collection of world-class designed apartments. With all of the city's magic, it only makes sense to host one of the world's most magical hotels!

South Africa's Molori Safari Lodge Is Your Dream Getaway (Literally!)

In the South African language of Tswana, Molori means "to dream". Just a visit to the Molori Safari Lodge's Web site will whisk you away to dreamland. One on one with nature's most majestic of savanna wildlife, the resort is an intimate, 5-suite retreat that only houses a maximum of 10-12 people within its exquisite construction, consisting most notably of a rustic-African design that also models international style you might find at a budgetless Pier 1 Imports. The two-year old resort-sponsored "game drives" make it perfect for close-encounters of the jungle-cat kind. Each regally-decked suite's telescope (not to mention the resort's on-site planetarium) make it perfect for uncovering your inner-Galileo. The collapsible glass wall of the suites invite your vacation to the outdoors and, quite perfectly, your personal infinity pool indoors. This place is so perfect, A-listers like Nicholas Cage, Mischa Barton, Lily Allen, Kate Moss and Fran Cutler have been among the baller-guests who shell out over $4,000 a night to stay in this dream-like paradise. Money is of no object in dreams, and South African designer Stephen Falcke spared no expense in creating the five traditionally and internationally decorated, openly constructed abodes. As if being surrounded by the rugged reserve terrain weren't enough of an indulgence, guests enjoy some signature pieces like a Fendi daybed and a Phillip Plein swingbed in their room, and even first-class arrival options as the resort has its own airstrip and helipad. All the more, your tongue is treated to a retreat all its own with fine-dining crafted per your personal requests. On an intimacy scale, there's something to be said about a place where you feel more camaraderie from the beasts of the safari than you do other hotel inhabitants. Molori Safari Lodge is more than a triple threat in the middle of South Africa's brush. This main attraction brings danger and adventure alongside sexy extravagance in a way that makes even the Web browser not want to wake up from the dream!
