Gloria Steinem Puts a Price on Male Chivalry (And It's a Lot!)

I caught up with the fabulous feminist Gloria Steinem at a recent Glamour Magazine event in New York City. I got to ask the 73-year old icon about the sorry state of superthin celebs, her own battle with the bulge, and the price of having a door opened for you by a man! Hint: It's in the five figures, so the next time a guy tries to be all chivalrous, don't get sucked in. It's a trick!

Tim Gunn Tells Stylehive His Fashion Secrets For Girls AND Guys!

I think every woman wishes she had a miniature Tim Gunn to carry so she could consult him during fashion emergencies. Because when it comes to taste and style, Tim€™s opinion is at the forefront, especially on this season€™s Project Runway, where Tim Gunn's expertise has been showcased to the max, as the designers who follow his advice get praised, and those who don€™t, get pulverized. I caught up with the style guru/mentor to learn from the master. Read on to see what Tim had to say about style, fashion faux-pas, and cultivating a unique sense of style.

Raquel Welch Shares Her Secrets to Ageless Beauty

In addition to attaining international success as an actress, Broadway star, author, entrepreneur (who hasn€™t heard of the Raquel Welch Wig Line!), and more recently, as the fourth MAC Cosmetics Beauty Icon, 68-year old Raquel Welch has withstood the test of time and is still SMOKIN! I think the question on everyone€™s mind is: how does she do it?! Stylehive sat down with this unstoppable Renaissance woman to investigate. Read on to see what she had to say about style, men, getting older (and in turn, looking younger), and feeling self-conscious.

DVF Refuses to Cause Cavalli-Like Feeding Frenzies (For Now)

Roberto Cavalli is the most recent example of the frenzy and chaos that can ensue when a high-end designer produces an affordable line for the masses (his recentt ground-breaking collection for H&M followed the massive success attained by the likes of Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld). Sadly, apparently one of our favorite designers, Diane von Furstenberg, isn€™t interested partaking in this "couture for the masses" craze currently sweeping the fashion nation. In an interview about the trend of high-end designers doing low-end lines, the queen of the wrap-dress was extremely complimentary. €œI encourage people to do that. I think it is very good that those mass merchandisers are using
designers. It's good that they respect the value of that.€ However, when asked why she€™s opting to pass, she stated, €œWell my price point is high. I don't know. Right now I am not going to do that." Here€™s hoping she changes her mind soon, cuz I need me a $39 wrap dress that doesn't look like a toga!

Petra Nemcova Likes Her Men Edgy, Or Not

Listen up boys! Supermodel/tsunami survivor/philanthropist Petra Nemcova has some very specific guidelines for how she likes her men to dress before she'll deign to be seen with them. I recently met up with the disarmingly striking beauty, who revealed that when it comes to men, "It's nice if they have their own style. Some men, they need a little help." Don't we know it! But Ms. Petra was not done detailing her man needs. €œI love a little bit of an English style, like a little bit of an edge," she continued. "I like a jacket with a t-shirt under and then with a funk little scarf. It depends. Each man is different." And yet, they're all the same.
