"Juliette Has A Gun" Helps You Find Your Unique Frangrance!

The perfect perfume really helps craft your identity -- a scent that evokes everything about you, and when someone smells it they think of you. So why would you want to wear something that everyone else has? Turn to some smaller artisanal fragrances for something personal that not everyone is getting at the local department store. Juliette Has A Gun is a new line of fragrances that is there to do just that. Started by perfumer Romano Ricci (who has a pedigree is all things luxe -- his grandfather was a perfumer and his great-grandmother was haute couturiere Nina Ricci), the line of fragrances is rock and roll but elegant, taking inspiration from our favorite Shakespearean heroine, Juliet, just in modern terms. The line plans on unveiling 5 different scents, but only 3 are available now. Each perfume is based on roses, but each takes on a distinct personality. The romantic goth "Lady Vengeance" is classy and sophisticated with Bulgarian rose, patchouli and vanilla. A more naive and fragile "Miss Charming" has Moroccan rose and notes of wild fruits. The newest Juliette on the scene, "Citizen Queen," is edgy, glamorous and intimidating. Check them out and see which fits your personality at Henri Bendel in NY and on Henribendel.com

Bargain Drugstore Beauty That's Actually Worth Straying From Sephora

For the most part, I'm pretty sure I can say that my rather extensive cosmetics collection reflects a fairly open-minded outlook on makeup brands -- I've got a good mixture of both bargain and high-end beauty loot. However, I think this unbiased balance is mostly due to the fact that I just compulsively buy cosmetics just about anywhere I go, and not because I necessarily view all makeup equally. In fact, if you really delve deep into the "drugstore vs. designer" makeup debate, you're bound to find that some high-priced picks at Sephora aren't much better than their cheaper Cover Girl counterparts, and some of better drugstore brands are actually more expensive than some you'd find at a department store beauty counter! So in light of economic hardship, how do you know which convenience store buys are actually good quality at a great value and not just a load of crap? Well, as a girl who's tried nearly everything and therefore knows a thing or two about money well-spent (and wasted) on makeup, I've compiled a list of some of my favorite beauty aisle steals -- from ridiculously cheap nail polish to top-notch makeup brushes at a fraction of MAC's cost. Check them out in the slideshow!

Shoe of the Week: Marc by Marc Jacobs Peep Toe Suede Booties

While I'm most definitely a shoe girl (and really... who isn't?), you'll probably never see me standing in line for shoes from the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection or fighting off fellow bargain hunters for Louboutins at the famed Barney's warehouse sale. I'm not saying I don't love a bargain, I'm just not a die hard lover of any particular shoe designer. However, I do keep an open mind and give a chance to new and established designers alike. That's why I've been thinking about these Marc by Marc Jacobs Peep Toe Suede Booties ever since I found them. They have a vintage inspired silhouette that I love, but the modern structured cone heel and the patent leather trim just bring it to the next level. I can see myself pairing the shoes with a cute cocktail dress or even a pair of skinny jeans. Santa, I hope you're taking notes!

Hot In The Hive: USB-Powered Eyelash Curler!

I know what you're thinking -- vibrating mascara, at-home airbrushing kits, and now a USB heated eyelash curler -- what will they think of next?! Though I'm still convinced that mascara that moves on its own is just a recipe for disaster, I have to admit I'm pretty intrigued by this USB beauty tool, especially as a girl who is rarely without her laptop and her makeup bag. I'm already a big fan of my Sephora heated eyelash curler... but the battery's always drained and it doesn't have the same satisfying squeeze-and-curl action that makes for really luxe lashes. With this device, all you do is plug it in, power it on, and revive lashes pronto! So if you're going to have an emergency stash of back-up makeup at your desk for touch-ups and work (or in preparation for post-work happy hour), this newfangled new beauty-fiend gadget may not be so far-fetched when it comes to practicality!

Price: $33.38

CollegeCandy Helps Find The Perfect (and Stretchy) Outfits For Your Thanksgiving Dinner!

The two things I love most about fall are the food and the fashion, which means Thanksgiving is a major jackpot. I get to dress up all cute and stuff my face with turkey. It's wonderful... for the first ten minutes. Then my stomach begins to protrude over my skintight mini and I start having a hard time breathing. Undoubtedly I end up taking an intermission, putting on my stretchy sweatpants, then heading back for seconds. But it doesn't have to be that way. It's possible to look cute and eat until you're curled up on the couch in a food coma. You just have to choose your outfit wisely. I've combed through this season's hottest trends and built outfits that are holiday appropriate, both in how they look and how they stretch to fit the 5 lbs of stuffing you will inevitably inhale. And I'm sure enjoying Thanksgiving dinner without the need to unbutton your pants at the table is something we can all be thankful for this year.

Add Some Scottish Influence With Houndstooth Home Decor

Houndstooth always reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and pants that chefs always wear, but lately I've been seeing it in a variety of places. The print may have originated in the woven wool cloth of the Scottish Lowlands, but it has universal appeal in any way you can find the print whether it's on clothing or furniture. In the home, it can be an unexpected accent amidst monochrome colors or even floral prints. Don't be afraid to mix and match because it can definitely work as a neutral. Add some to your dining room table with the Houndstooth Placemats found at World Market for less than $6 for a set of 4! For a more subtle houndstooth print, go for the Anywhere Sofa in Modern Houndstooth which features a teeny tiny houndstooth pattern. Click on my slideshow to see more!

Tread Lightly And Sling On A Small Satchel

Big purses have their moments: they're great for beaches, books and boho looks. There are, however, more simplistic ways of toting around all your stuff -- and, let's face it, not look like a bag lady. Though our clutches are a great way to shed the extra pounds of bag, they're not good for much more than a phone, credit card, and lip gloss. A small satchel is somewhere in between, is straight to the point about what it can fit, and because of its size, is cute in its own kiddie-sized travel tote kind of way. Click through a sampling of small satchels in this slideshow and find the perfect sized sack for all of your toting needs!
