Obviously the costume itself has a lot to do with how well you can pull off a look or character come this weekend when you'll be making an appearance at a few spooky soirees. But what really gives a costume the extra 'oomph' and makes it truly memorable is the make-up that goes with it.
Halloween make-up is all about going over-the-top and making your look eye-catching and unforgettable! Use dark powders to help contour your face and Halloween is an occasion where the more lustrous and glitzy the fake lashes, the better. Liquid or gel liners help eye make-up stay put all night, and a creamy red lipstick is a true Halloween classic.
Plus, the great thing about make-up and cosmetics, is that you can tone it down and reuse them again for a day-to-day look or a girls night out and many might already be in your make-up bag! Click on the slideshow to see some of our fave Halloween make-up picks that work perfectly for the holiday and after!

Tone it down is a good idea, the money spend on holiday make-up can be well spend and not just for the holdiays only.:) Smiling

I think it's fun to wear eyelashes once in a while. I wore crazy eyelashes last year for Halloween and got them from a costume store.

~* @ Austin, the slideshows are where you can get the products. And the point of the post is that it IS everyday make up that you can use for a great Halloween look! All you need to do is apply more dramatically! False lashes always make a look more eye-catching and if you're looking for the look in the pic exactly - The lashes are by Makeup Forever and can be found at Sephora. Their lash bar specialists can apply it for you if you don't know how. Other than that, it's just a sweep of dark shadow! The pic of the girl in the larger photo is a mix of bright shadows, applied the same as you would any other. Thanks for the input and we'll try to find a way to be even more informative to our readers! =)
