Who hasn€™t wished they could be a model at some point? The glamor, the clothes, the traveling, the fame, and the all-around fabulousness of it all! However, it€™s a tough biz- a fact Make Me A Supermodel co-host Tyson Beckford is not remiss in pointing out every chance he gets. Although he's one of the most successful male models ever, Tyson faced his fair share of tough times getting there. So what advice does he have for other aspiring models? Well YOU asked and WE got the answer.
Stylehive: What advice do you have for anyone who wants to get into the modeling industry?Tyson: DON'T! (laughs). I mean it's a lot of hard work, so know what you're getting into before you get into it, that's what I always tell people. It looks glamorous but it's a lot of work. I think the show touched on it but I don't think you really saw the real realness of it. For me, getting the job was always the toughest moment. Going on the go-sees, and week after week, and you don't get anything, and you start to feel like 'okay, am I doing the right thing? Am I in the right business?' Because week after week you keep going to see different clients and they keep saying 'no, no, no' you're just like 'wow, what am I doing wrong?' It's like acting, you see a lot of top actors going in for auditions and they don't always get 'em every minute, you know?
