I€™m gonna be a Supermodel, and my hair will shine like the sea, cuz I€™m young, and I€™m hip, and so beautiful- okay sorry, that song just always gets stuck in my head whenever I write about the show Make Me A Supermodel! Don't be ashamed to admit it, lots of us have fantasized about what it would be like to be a Supermodel (and everyone will wanna dress like me, wait and see, when I€™m a Supermodel- okay I€™m done!). As with any career path, the best way to get there is to solicit advice from the best. All you aspiring models wanted to know what advice Niki Taylor has for anyone wanting to get into the modeling industry and she was more than willing to dish.
Stylehive: What advice would you give to anyone who wants to get into the modeling industry?Niki Taylor: An agent is looking for someone who has a variety of different looks. Even if it's with your girlfriends or your boyfriend, try dressing up. That's what my mom and myself did. We dressed up and we tried different looks. We did a bathing suit, we did high glamor, we did very young, and then we did very sophisticated. You have to bring all those characters into your pictures and then bring that into an agency. And just keep asking questions! Ask the agency, "What are you guys looking for? What is it that I an do to be a part of this family?" Just keep asking questions. I mean, the world of modeling is so big, there's, like, a job for everybody. It's not just doing photo shoots or runway. You could be really good at styling somebody, or designing, or photography, art direction, photo-editor - there's a whole bunch of different things that you could do in this business. Watch the finale of Make Me a Supermodel Thursday, April 3 at 10PM EST on Bravo!
