Ask a Supermodel Trainer: How Can I Get Model Skinny AND Stay Healthy?

You know Clay Burwell as the boot camp trainer on Make Me a Supermodel (yes, he's the man who made the models cry - bad Clay!) Clay also owns the super intense private gym High-Performance in New York City, and has trained stars like Matt Damon, Drea de Mateo, and Anna Paquin until they probably also cried. Stylehive readers wanted to know from Clay if there is any way to get, and stay, supermodel skinny while still staying healthy. Click READ MORE for his answer (and, I caution, it may make you cry.)

Stylehive: Is there any way to get supermodel skinny in a healthy way?
Clay: First off let me state the obvious: models, both male and female, are skinny! They are often times genetically predisposed to have the bodies that the industry currently loves. Long, lean, and streamlined is the name of the
game, especially if you are to work runway. My biggest and best fitness tip for anyone who wants to model is to start running. Running, especially long distance, is the easiest way to streamline your frame. Get up early, go
outside and run! Do it day on, day off so your knees get a break and wear good running shoes like Asics. Sorry gym people: Indoors on a treadmill is not nearly as effective!

Watch the finale of Make Me a Supermodel Thursday, April 3 at 10PM EST on Bravo!
