I was starting to get sick of seeing Ray-Ban Wayfarers on every person under the age of 40, until they did something that made them cooler than ever. The new Sunglass Hut/Ray Ban Artist series is enlisting NYC based painter Chris Mendoza to paint the frames with his South American Graffiti-esque flavor. This Friday, Nov 28th ( otherwise known as black Friday) the artist will be customizing 100 pairs of the glasses in-store at the Sunglass Hut in Soho. The sunglasses will be available for $250 to buy in the spot or on sunglasshut.com starting December 3rd. Not only will you score some one of a kind shades, but you'll also be helping out-- 25% of the proceeds go to Give The Gift Of Sight, a charity that brings glasses and vision care to those in need around the world.
