Summer Style: 5-Minute Make-Up Must Haves!

I have friends who never wear make-up because it "takes too long". People so often think that if you wear make-up, you've got to go all out. The truth is, five minutes in front of the mirror can make a huge difference. You don't have to do the full-on face every time you go out (in fact, you shouldn't). But a little mascara and bronzer can make a HUGE difference.

My 5-Minute Make-Up Must-Haves

1. Tinted moisturizer is a lazy-girl's dream product. A moisturizer and foundation in one. They even out skin tone, provide coverage, and moisturize without looking too made-up. Look for one with an SPF to eliminate yet another product you have to worry about. My favorite is <Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It's non-greasy and gives just the right amount of coverage while still letting your natural beauty show through.

2. Sweep bronzer on your face to add color and warmth. Layer more or less to create definition. Can be used along with, or in place of, blush. Benefit Bronzer in Hoola is a great, all-over color.

3. Find a multi-use color product, such as MAC Cream Colour Base, which can be used on eyes, cheeks and lips. Its creamy consistency makes it incredibly easy to apply with fingers and hard to mess up. Layer a darker color over a lighter one to create a smoky eye look, use a light shade to highlight cheek and brow bones, and pink-y shades can be used to make lips and cheeks pop. The possibilities are endless.

4. Nothing pulls together your look as easily as effectively as mascara. A few swipes can make a huge difference and I'm a firm believer that you should never leave the house without it. I swear by Diorshow Mascara. Its rich formula will stay put all day and give you the drama you want without leaving you with raccoon eyes.
