10 Cakes Too Pretty To Eat (Well, Almost)

It's difficult to feel good about cake when Spring's calling (Spring is saying "shorts," not "shortening." Trust me.) Maybe that's why gourmet cakes these days are too pretty to eat - the burden of guilt that the consumption of ordinary cake brings is compounded when said cake is an unbelievable work of art. Luxury retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus have been selling the sculptural sweets for years now, and let me tell you, I'd love to see the woman who orders the size two skin-tight Dolce & Gabbana sheath dress and the "Fill Me With Love" Cheesecake, but until then, I'll just be staring at the mouthwatering masterpieces on my computer screen. Or possibly ordering them, with gift boxes. (They're for someone else. I promise!) Click SEE SLIDESHOW for my ten fave Duncan finds.
