After Labor Day White Done The Right Way!

Everyone knows the old saying: No white after Labor Day. But the saying is just that. Old. These days, not only is it ok to wear white after Labor Day, it's actually very chic! White is always a crisp and clean look and it's eye-catching but neutral tone makes it extremely versatile and a great match for almost any color. While linens and light cottons are reserved for hot summer days, cooler weather whites are just as refreshing and stylish. A plush coat or scarf is perfect for the 'snow bunny' appeal, or if it's not that cold where you are yet, lighter wools and thicker cottons work beautifully for so many occasions. Whether it's for work or play, night or day, we've rounded up a few of our favorite white pieces that are just right for wearing after Labor Day!

There's no time to mourn the loss of the sun just yet! Now that Fall is here, BBQ's and beach parties may have to be put on hold for next year, but this doesn't mean the social events have to end too! Bring the good times inside with a cozy get-together at home and serve up some delicious snacks and fun stories ... all in impeccable style of course! Ideeli and others bring you chic party-wear and party-ware to help keep the good times rolling!

Daily Obsesh - Han Cholo Spiked Bangle

Bad-girl jewelry- think spikes, leather cuffs, knuckle- duster rings and the like- is all the rage these days with cool girls everywhere. Influenced by rock 'n' roll, science fiction, fantasy art, and hip hop culture, the jewelry line Han Cholo is delivering the bad-girl goods and has become the "it" accessory among young Hollywood fashionistas and celebrities alike. I'm not the kind of girl who can pull off a brass knuckle or tommy gun pendant with any aplomb, so in order to keep up my cool girl status, I am all about layering the Han Cholo Spiked Bangles. Coming in an assortment of colors- gold, silver, rose gold, and gunmetal- the bangles are the perfect way to accessorize a bad girl outfit of leather leggings, tank and platforms... or add a just little edginess to a bohemian baby-doll dress and ankle boots. My favorite of the bangles has to be the rose gold (see, I'm not so great at the bad-girl thing) and also I love the look of layering all four colors or juxtaposing one or more with more feminine accessories, such as tennis or charm bracelets. Just like Sandy in Grease, I suppose all of us sometimes want to flaunt some tough girl style... just some of us prefer our bad-girl look to come in pink.

Daily Obsesh - Braided Cord Leatherette Belt

Fall's around the corner and there are a few essentials needed for any fashionista's wardrobe. One of those staples is a great versatile belt! With something unique you have the option to play around with simple pieces and make them shine. Forever 21 has a great braided cord belt that I'm in love with. Wear this belt with a simple cream dress to step up your style, or strap it across a great pair of dark denim jeans to accentuate your sexy curves! I love that Forever 21 creates affordable fashion for any gal and this belt is no exception. At $6.80 there really are no regrets with this purchase. The buckles on the side give it a cool edgy look while the leather ring pulling the belt together keeps it cute and sassy. I don't know about you, but I'm a belt fan and this baby will definitely spice up your long tanks or sexy sweater dresses! What's better than a great accessory that transitions from Summer to Fall effortlessly!

Shoe of the Week - Matiko 'Nicki' Peep-Toe Wedge

When it comes to shoes, sometimes it's hard to find a pair that is sleek and minimalist without being just a little boring. Often, shoes want to either be the center of attention, or just a sad afterthought to your outfit. Not the Matiko Nicki Peep-Toe Wedge from Urban Outfitters. This shoe isn't trying to steal all your outfit glory, but it isn't content with being a wallflower either. Chic and fashion-forward, these wedges have a completely leather upper with no seaming at the wedge, this unbroken line will make your legs look miles high... and the 4.5" height of the wedge certainly helps that cause as well. They may be uber chic and modern, but the cute peep toe detail gives the Nicki just enough retro styling to save it from being too futuristic, and gives you a chance to show off your pedicure. The sleek style will complement a wide range of outfits, and earn you more than a few double-takes and compliments- and these compliments will no doubt be about how great your legs look... like I said, these shoes aren't looking for all the attention. Available in both nude and black, this wedge is a perfect addition to your wardrobe right this moment, as it will look great with a tan and your summer dresses, but transition perfectly into fall with skinny jeans and sweaters.

Where to Buy: Urban Outfitters

Price: $148

Pretty Fall Colors

Just because the sun will soon be setting earlier and the days are looking a little gloomier, this doesn't mean that our wardrobes have to follow suit. Sure, bright colors of summer may look out of place in the Fall season, but Fall itself is full of vibrant hues and gorgeous Autumn tones. So while we're saying good-bye for now to our lighter summer palette, it's a great time to welcome the more saturated hues of Fall into our hearts and closets. Ideeli and others definitely agree. Plus, so many of them are coveted designer l

Daily Obsesh - Marc by Marc Jabocs Mademoiselle Danger Mini Umbrella

There's nothing like a good kiss in the rain; so good you don't even realize you are soaking wet! It's like a scene out of a romantic movie. But if your knight-in-shining-rain-slicker has yet to reveal himself to you and a romantic rendezvous beneath the clouds isn't in your near future, then you need a way to brighten up an otherwise gloomy day. Besides, let's be realistic, boy or no boy, how many of us have really ever kissed under the pouring rain anyway? Most days, when the skies decide to open up, we're rushing to work with freshly straightened hair or wearing new suede booties, or that fantastic leather jacket just purchased over the weekend. A kiss would be nice, but what we really need is an umbrella! I suggest you kill two birds with one stone and splurge on yourself with this adorable mini umbrella from Marc by Marc Jacobs. The black umbrella is covered in a red lip print and has a sturdy silver metal handle with a red designer stamped handle. It's also quite small and lightweight, plus it's less than a foot in length so it fits nicely into your purse and won't weigh you down. You can keep it in your bag everyday and barely notice it's there. That way, when your hear the thunder rolling in and the skies start to darken, you're prepared! This little guy is definitely 100 times more dependable than most men I know (shining rain slicker or not) and a kiss isn't going to save those suede shoes!

Recession Chic: Urban Outfitters Collabs Mean Designer Duds for Less!

Finding a good bargain sometimes feels like finding a soulmate ... and finding great clothes and accessories from amazing high-end designers at prices I can actually afford is just the kind of bargain that really sets my heart a-flutter! Urban Outfitters designer collaborations have got to be my favorite in the now saturated world of designer/ retail collabs. Urban partners with smaller, independent designers that I already adore, such as Geren Ford, Corpus, and Samantha Pleet, and their creativity isn't stifled by having to produce for a mass market audience. Besides the one-of-a-kind must-have designs, another plus is the value of the clothes, jewelry and accessories being offered. While perhaps at a slightly higher price point than other Urban Outfitters products, the designer goods seem to have better quality materials, trims and construction. Urban Outfitters is always announcing new projects with designers and highlighting them on their always fun to read blog. I love a good bargain, and when a good bargain is also well made, adorable and supports up-and-coming designers, well that's just the icing on my shopping cake. Click through the slideshow for some of my favorite pieces from the Urban Outfitters collaborations!
