Office potlucks, family gatherings and festive times with old friends and new acquaintances are written in the stars for all of us and this means that you'll be needing to plan some real show-stopping outfits. One thing that we don't need the stars to tell us is that there's usually copious amounts of rich and delicious foods involved during this time and putting on a form fitting, body-con outfit just doesn't seem like a good idea. Stick with a simple, chic and maybe slightly looser ensemble and really dazzle the crowd with accessories and shoes. So whether you're meeting with close pals for a cozy dinner like family and friend-loving Capricorn, or busy being the life of a party like voracious Leo, just click on the slideshow to see what pair of pretty party shoes the planets have found as your perfect finishing touch for the holidays!

Give The Gift Of Comfort And Joy With Pajamas!

    image
Anna Yu on Nov 30, 2009 2:17 PM PST
If I could get away with it, I'd probably spend most of my hours in bed. However, I have to do my part in banishing VPL (visible panty lines) and finding cool Christmas gifts for you to buy and how am I supposed to do that from under the covers? Since I can't stay in bed, I love to wear my pajamas to get the same feeling of warmth and comfort. You'll never see me in pajamas outside my front door though! I have friends who have been asking me what I want for Christmas and I've been half tempted to request pajamas even though I own far too many. If I shouldn't put pjs in my gift list, then let me put them in yours instead! I'm loving these classic pajamas from Lauren by Ralph Lauren for a perfectly chic bedtime look. For something a little more flirty, try this ruffly chiffon nightie from American Eagle. Take a look at my slideshow for more pajamas that would be wonderful presents for the girls in your life (or for yourself).

Holiday Gift Ideas For Your Most Fashionable Friend!

    image
Alex Gambardella on Nov 30, 2009 10:17 AM PST
There's at least one in every group -- the girl who loves all things designer. Maybe it's you, or maybe there's more than one fashionista in your pack of friends, but no matter how many pals you have with high-end taste, you can't simply afford to break the bank for a bunch of big-name big purchases in the midst of gift-shopping mayhem. The solution isn't always to go the Forever 21 route (though as a bargain shopper I'm always a fan) -- you'd be surprised how many cute holiday-friendly designer trinkets you can get for under $200! For example, this cute heart key ring may come in a blue Tiffany box, but it really doesn't cost an arm and a leg! And cozy winter-festive gifts like these Michael Kors gloves and these adorable Burberry earmuffs prove that designer names can be practical for the season and aren't just for show! Browse through the slideshow for 10 gift ideas that could make even Anna Wintour smile!

Bag Of The Week: The Matt & Nat Santogold Bag

I can't decide what I love most about this bag: the trendy zipper details, the convenient interchangeable straps, or the fact that it's totally affordable! Since I've been working on my holiday wish list, I've totally got my eye on the Santogold Bag by Matt & Nat. Its pebbled texture and exposed zippers give it an edgy feel while the pleating details give it a "naughty but nice" sort of vibe. Plus, it's the perfect size for tucking under your arm, and with its interchangeable straps, it's got the versatility of a clutch, shoulder bag, and cross-body all in one! Oh, and did I mention it's totally green, too? Made from glazed PVC with a pocketed interior lining made from recycled plastic bottles, you won't be feeling any guilt from Mother Nature.. or your bank statement!

What: the Santogold Bag by Matt & Nat
    Price: $185

Victoria Beckham To Start A Modeling Agency?

    image
Ida Hsiang on Nov 30, 2009 7:21 AM PST
We definitely think Posh Spice could pull this one off! Victoria Beckham certainly knows enough about fashion and looking good and we're pretty sure her modeling agency would be top of the line! Everyone would be dying to be a part of it. Victoria Beckham would be working on this exciting new modeling agency project with her manager Simon Fuller (you may know Simon Fuller as the creator of American Idol. He was also the manager of the Spice Girls). Clearly, Simon knows what he's doing in the business world and we think Victoria has quite a few business smarts herself. According to a source, "Simon knows that Victoria is very savvy when it comes to fashion. His first foray into fashion was to team up designer Roland Mouret and Victoria, which was a huge success." We're sure Simon loves having Victoria on his side and the source says, "Victoria is a key asset to Simon and he wants her to take on a major role." Simon already owns 50% of London modeling agency Storm Models and wants Victoria to set up something similar in New York. We can't wait to see what Victoria's model agency is all about; we bet all the girls will be absolutely stunning! Check out more info and pics by clicking over to our friends at Limelife!

Hot In The Hive: Lime Crime Makeup Magic Dust

    image
Alex Gambardella on Nov 30, 2009 6:17 AM PST
One look at Lime Crime Makeup's webpage -- which looks like a unicorn barfed rainbows and shooting stars all over it -- and you can't help but wonder what sort of happy pills this chick is on. But hey -- as long as this unnaturally sunshine-y outlook produces gorgeous sparkly shades to add to my makeup collection, I can dig it! Lime Crime Magic Dust is a line of highly-pigmented loose powder eyeshadow, similar to MAC's loose pigment (but cheaper!), that comes in 23 different bold, shimmery shades. Dust on lids to wear as shadow, or apply wet for more intense color and use as eyeliner. Despite the tag line, "So bright, it's illegal," I don't think you'll get arrested for having sparkly shadow, but Lime Crime's collection is seriously vibrant if you're looking for bold color!

    Price: $12 each

Lemondrop Obsession: Calorie-Burning Shoes From Earth Footwear

    image
Anna Yu on Nov 30, 2009 5:18 AM PST
Calorie-burning shoes -- no doubt you've seen them around. They always look like orthopedic running shoes or something a nurse would wear to work. That's why I got so excited when I saw Earth Footwear at my local comfy shoe store. Earth shoes are so stylish and come in everything from sandals to boots. I, of course, got boots because we're heading into the winter months. It's not the "negative heel technology" or the anatomic arch support, or even the Biofoam cushion inside that makes me love them (though I love anyone who has come up with so many ways to make my feet feel comfortable). I love they way they look, and shoes are a major obsession of mine, not to mention I'm new to New York City and going to need a good boot for the winter. I feel like these are going to do the trick. After much anticipation, A-Morir is now available at Karmaloop.com! Created in 2008 by designer and owner, Kerin Rose, A-Morir glasses are the IT thing to have right now! A-Morir is a successfully curated accessory line with a particular emphasis on Swarovski-encrusted eyewear. Not only are Miss Roses's pieces to die for, but they are intended to be so beautiful that a little part of the viewer dies inside, as the French would say, "une petite mort." Each painstakingly adorned pair covered in rhinestones, spikes, chains, lace, studs or pearls reflects the designer's love of the theatrical, the luxurious and most importantly, the glam! As seen in numerous music videos, such as on Rihanna in Jay-Z's "Run This Town" video and on Snoop Dogg in his "GangstaLuv" video, A-Morir is staking its reputation as a celeb favorite. Other clients include Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Cassie, Nina Sky, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey and more! Styles to look out for are The Schubert, The Barracuda, The Original Love/Hate Convertible Chain Shades and The Love/Hate Convertible Pearl Shade Eyeglasses. Get yours at Karmaloop.com.
